Cravings and Fibromyalgia

I don't know about you fellow Fibromyalgia sufferers out there, but I have some cravings that are so strong sometimes. They are usually from sugar or carbs when I'm not even trying to stay away! I'm guessing this could mean that these foods are bad for me and I need to start eating better yesterday. This is easier said than done, but I need to do it. I've heard a lot about different diseases and conditions are much more tolerable on a low sugar and low carb diet. The trick is to remember to be conscious of what you're eating and to make sure to eat something every 3-4 hours. I grew up eating out a lot and that usually means doing the complete opposite of what I just described. If you too have problems in this area and can offer advice, please comment!

Just Found This interesting info about what you are craving and what you really need. Enjoy.

Bible Verse for Today:

And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. -Genesis 1:29

This is a verse I should really review and see if I live my life according to God's plan. So much temptation out there when it comes to food...

  1. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndome but I am wondering if I have Fibromylagia too. I can definitely relate to the carbs and sugar cravings and my geneticist said they are very fibryo- y!
Thanks for the link - it was really interesting! I noticed that a chocolate craving is related to magnesium. That doesn't surprise me seeing as it is quite common for Ehlers Danlos & Fibro to be magnesium deficient.

  2. I was surprised to see the connection between magnesium and the particular choice of chocolate...but I guess I'm still digging into research these days. I hope you get your situation figured out! Best of luck to you!
